Butterfly with Blossom Petals Builder punch

For this card, I also used the Blossom Petals Builder punch.  The wings are created with the large and small petals.  The body is the large leaf.  The antenna are the branch from the Bird Builder punch.  I also embossed the background using the Big Shot and sponged it with some ink.  Sponging is my new favorite technique!  Thanks to demonstrator Bonnie Mountford for the inspiration.

I wanna be a cowboy, baby

Our owl has turned into a sheriff!  The owl punch makes it so easy to make owls, and he is fun to dress up for different occasions.  I had a blast making several of these owl sheriffs.  A big thank you to SU demonstrator Lynn Pratt who completely inspired this card.

Build a Blossom Hershey Kisses

Here's another example of how to creatively use the Blossom Petal Builder Punch to make Hershey Kisses.  First I adhered aluminum foil to a piece of card stock, then punched out several of the large leaves.  I cut off just the ends and used a piece of vellum for the tags.  I also used the retired stamp set Eat Chocolate.

Gnomeo, oh Gnomeo

This little garden gnome was made almost entirely using the Blossom Petal punch, with the owl punch just contributing for his eyes.  Thanks to Jackie Topa, SU demonstrator for the inspiration and instructions on how to make this little guy!  It was so much fun!

Christmas in July Card 2

This is the second card we will make for Christmas in July.  This uses the dove from the Gifts of Christmas stamp set.  First we will ink up the stamp in Old Olive, then remove the green from the poinsettias and the words using a blender pen.  Next we will use a Cherry Cobbler marker to color the flowers and the "Christmas Wishes."  After stamping, we will adhere pearls to the center of the flowers.  After adding some Cherry Cobbler seam binding and assembling, our card will be ready for Christmas!

Merry Christmas in July!

Merry Christmas in July!  This beautiful card is one that we will be making at my Christmas in July class.  The tree from the Snow Swirled stamp set was stamped with Whisper White craft ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder.  Then I used a sponge dauber with Night of Navy to add the glow.  The glittering jewels add just the right amount of sparkle.  Merry early Christmas!

Popsicle Cards

These cards look good enough to eat!  At the Mommy and Me class, we used the retired Tart and Tangy set to make these Real Red strawberries, Pumpkin Pie oranges, and Wild Wasabi apples.  Just add your note to the inside and send to your favorite person!

Kids' Class Xylophone

The pre-k teacher in me loves this card.  This is the first card that we made at my Mommy and Me class.  The "birthday wishes" is from the retired Sale-A-Bration set, So Happy for You. Watch for tomorrow's post to see the other card the kids made!

Two More Pennant Parade Ice Cream Cones

Here's another take on the Pennant Parade ice cream cone card.  The Marina Mist card is one of the cards we made at my Stamp Camp this week.  This card uses a single stamped cone and toppings punched with the Cupcake punch.  The Marina Mist and Pretty in Pink papers are embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  The "happy birthday" is stamped using the Swirls and Curls Verses stamp set.  Perfect cards for boy or girl birthday.

Retired Because I Care

Although this hostess stamp set retired in June, it is still a great set and makes wonderful cards.  Stampers who came to Stamp Camp last week got a chance to use this set with the Elegant Eggplant and Certainly Celery Markers.  Add a butterfly from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die onto the Whisper White Top Note die cut, a layer of Elegant Eggplant cardstock, and you have a beautiful card to let someone know you care.

Sweet Watermelon Slices

This cool summer card showcases another use for the Petite Pennants Builder Punch.  First I created a mask using a small sheet of vellum.  Then I punched the slices from Whisper White cardstock.  Using the mask and Certainly Celery and Melon Mambo inks with sponge daubers, I added the color.  The seeds were punched using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and then made glossy using Crystal Effects.  The border was created with the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch.

Pennant Parade Ice Cream Cones

This card is a sample of the cards I made to send with my upline to Convention for Stampin' Up! to swap with other demonstrators.  I'm so ecstatic for her; she found out she is in the Founders Circle and ranked as the 72nd top demonstrator this year!!!  WOW!

I again used the Pennant Parade stamp set.  The cones were stamped in Soft Suede.  The tops were embossed using the Elegant Lines embossing folder and the Big Shot, then punched out using the Cupcake punch.  The same punch was also used for the cherry on top, using Red Glimmer paper.  The background uses the Brights Designer Series Paper. The card base was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, which coordinates with the DSP.

Lace Ribbon Border and Awash with Flowers Take 3

Daffodil Delight flowers, edged with Real Red outlining, accented by Old Olive stems and Lace Ribbon Border punch make up this summer-y feeling card.  The sentiment is again from the Elements of Style stamp set.

Pennant Parade Pinwheel

This pinwheel was fun to make using the Pennant Parade stamp set and the Petite Pennants Builder punch.  I also used the Big Shot and the Top Note die and the Word Play stamp set for the sentiment.

Pennant Punch Star

This card turned out completely different from how I first intended.  It was going to feature a picture in the middle where the shooting star is, and use neutral colors.  However, once I punched the Brights Designer Series Paper out for the star, I wanted to then go with bright colors all over!  I ended up using a the Sale-a-Bration So Happy for You stamp set that I know a lot of my customers have.  I also used several circle punches for the middle.

Lace Ribbon Boarder and Awash With Flowers

More Pennant Parade cards coming tomorrow, but I wanted to share this beautiful card using the new In-Color Wisteria Wonder.  The darker purple is from the Regal family, called Elegant Eggplant.  Purple is one of my favorite colors, so I had to play with these two together!  Also featured is the Lucky Limeade color for the stems and matting.  The stamp set is a two-step stamp set called Awash with Flowers.  It has some beautiful flowers with which you can layer and create.  Also, notice the Lace Ribbon Border punch behind the flowers.  This is another new product from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  Don't you want to schedule a workshop, so you can get this book for free?  Contact me today!

Pennant Parade Golfer

We are always looking for "man" cards, and this one could fit the bill for your favorite golfer.  The flag was created using the Pennant Parade stamp set and Petite Pennants Builder punch.  Also used for the background paper was the new Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper.   The "happy" and "birthday" are both from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set.  Thanks to fellow demonstrator Jennie Maier, from whom I CASE'd this card!

Pennant Parade Flower

Another example using the Pennant Parade stamp set, this one features a 'wish big' flower.  The 'happy birthday' is from the Swirls and Curls Verses hostess set in the Summer Mini Catalog--a sweet, versatile set for hostesses.  The petals are super easy to punch out using the Petite Pennants Builder punch.  The middle of the flower featured the 3/4", 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches.  New In-Colors Lucky Limeaide, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo are also featured on this birthday card.

Pennant Parade Christmas Tree

Remember the birthday hats made with the Pennant Parade stamp set posted yesterday?  Here's a card using the same stamp set, but achieving an entirely different look.  Very simple to make this little Christmas tree; it would be perfect for your handmade Christmas cards.  Click here to purchase this set.  Don't forget the matching Real Red, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight cardstock, markers and Real Red ribbon.  Thanks to fellow demonstrator Nancy Amato for the inspiration for this card!

Here comes the Pennant Parade

The next few posts are going to all feature the new stamp set, Pennant Parade.  There are many different looks you can achieve using the same stamp set, but varying colors and usage of stamps.  This card uses the pennant stamps, as well as the new Petite Pennants Builder punch.  The punch makes it so easy to quickly make elements for a card.  Also used on this card are the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, Modern Label, and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack punches.  The Square Lattice embossing folder was used on the Pacific Point cardstock.  Basic Rhinestones were added to the top of the hats for a bit of bling.  Click here to purchase the new Pennant Parade stamp set. Thanks to fellow demonstrator Monica Hornof for the inspiration for this card.

For this card, I also highlighted the new In Colors, using Lucky Limeaide, Wisteria Wonder and Calypso Coral.

New Puppy

Ok, so obviously not a card or craft post, but this little girl has turned our whimsical world upside down and I wanted to share!  She's almost 9 weeks of German Shepherd and is keeping us on our toes.  Her name is Schatzi, rhymes with "yahtzee," and means "sweetheart" in German.  She is settling in with our other pets, although they probably would have rather NOT had a new sister!

Shaving Cream Technique

I had a chance to catch up with an old friend who used to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  She showed me a very cool technique using shaving cream and re-inkers to make marbled background paper.  It was so much FUN!  I made this card for a team challenge to try a new technique.  I used the Strength and Hope set-- $2 of every sale of this set will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  I plan on hosting a class featuring this set soon; contact me if you are interested in attending!
