Cardinal with Glimmer Paper

Are you ready for Christmas cards yet?  I have been finding so many beautiful and inspirational Christmas cards that I couldn't wait any longer to get started.  This cardinal was created using the Bird Builder Punch.  There is a secret to getting his color just right....leave a comment if you want to learn it!  The red glimmer paper adds just the right amount of sparkle.  The cardinal is WV's state bird, and I would love to use this one for my personal Christmas cards this year, but I'm not sure I'm up to punching all of those birds!

  2. It's rich razzleberry sponged onto the edges of real red! The crest is the tip of a wing and I used the small heart punch in both basic black (with the tip cut off) and another heart in daffodil delight layered behind it. I added the white eye with the uniball pen. Let me know if I can help in any other way, and have fun creating!
