Stamp Camp Vote

Hello blog followers!  I'm doing a quick poll to determine what you would most like to make at Stamp Camp.  During my Stamp Camps, you make 6 cards (3 of two different designs) for $10.  Would you like to make seasonal cards, such as for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day and Easter?  Or would you rather make general cards for birthdays, get well soon, and thank you's?  OR would you like to make both?  Visit my blog (if you are reading via facebook, just follow the link in this posting) and cast your vote.  The poll is at the top of the right hand column.  Then, be sure to leave me a comment letting me know you voted, so I can enter you into a drawing for a little goodie!  Vote today, poll closes at midnight on February 7th!

Shades of blue in Quartered Circles

Do not be fooled by this card.  It is not as easy to create as it may first seem!  When I found a similar card on Pinterest (you can follow me here), I figured it was a cute and simple card to make.  I picked out my colors and punched some circles....then the insanity began!  I could not cut the circles into even quarters, no matter how many different techniques I tried!  If someone knows a trick for this, please let me know.

The colors used for this card were Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, Pool Party and Not Quite Navy.  The 'hello' is stamped from the stamp set My Friend.

Rainbow of Hearts

The Heart to Heart punch is the main feature of this card.  I punched it three times across the bottom, then added scraps of paper behind them.  The scraps were first embossed with the Adorning Accents hearts embossing folder, found here in the 2012 Occasions Mini.  The card front was scored by adding 3 lines above and below the hearts.  The sentiment was stamped from the Heard from the Heart stamp set, and fits perfectly with this card.  Do you have someone who has shown you extra special kindness lately?  This would be the perfect card to thank him or her.

*This card was inspired by one seen on a blog entitled I'm in Haven.

Join now and benefit all year!

This is a great time to join my team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  The starter kit is just $125, AND you will get a free pack of Designer Series Paper or a digital download every month for the rest of 2012!  So, whether you are a traditional paper stamper, or a digital creator, you can join now and get the benefits throughout the year.   And remember, the Starter Kit with all its goodies is yours to keep, no matter what.  Let me know if you are interested; I would love to share Stampin' Up! with you.

Labels Framelit and Hearts Valentine

For this Valentine's Day card, I embossed a piece of Real Red cardstock with the Tulips embossing folder.  Then I cut out a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the new Labels Framelits, which can be found here in the 2012 Occasions mini catalog.  I embossed it using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Next, I stamped the multi-hearts image using a stamp from the P.S. I Love You stamp set, along with the little "love you" sentiment.  It was cut out using the Heart Framelits, also found in the Occasions mini catalog.  The multi-heart image and the Red Glimmer Paper heart were both punched using the Full Heart Punch. What's your favorite feature of this card?

Mixed Bunch birthday card

My wonderful upline recently traveled to Stampin' Up's! Leadership, where she had the opportunity to swap cards with other demonstrators.  This was my creation that she took--and I can't wait to see what swaps I get in return!

For this card, you will need the following:
Pink Pirouette cardstock, cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  Score and fold in middle.
2 3/4 x 4
Whisper White cardstock, 2 5/8 x 4 and 3 3/4 x 2 1/2, scrap to stamp
Certainly Celery cardstock, 2 5/8 x 4, embossed with Stripes embossing folder, and a scrap to punch.
Pink Pirouette ink
Adhesive
Certainly Celery Ribbon

Directions:  Adhere 2 5/8 Whisper White cardstock and embossed Certainly Celery cardstock onto card front.  Stamp "happy birthday" from Elementary Elegance onto remaining Whisper White cardstock and adhere to remaining Pink Pirouette cardstock.  Adhere to card.  Stamp and punch Mixed Blossom flower using Pink Pirouette ink.  Layer onto a punched Certainly Celery flower.  Adhere to card.  Add a Certainly Celery ribbon.  Send to someone special celebrating a birthday!

Last year's Sale-a-bration birthday card

Finding myself with leftover supplies from last year's Sale-a-bration, and inspired by a card by Michelle Halling which I found on Pinterest, I created this beautiful Happy Birthday card.  The ribbon and buttons are from last year, but the birthday stamp is from this year's Sale-a-bration stamp set, Elementary Elegance.  This stamp set can be yours with any $50 purchase, before tax and shipping.  Also used on this card is the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder and Big Shot.

Birthday Wishes with Blossom Punch

For this super easy card, I punched out the flowers using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch, then added a coordinating Glimmer Brad in the center of each.  I stamped the sentiment from the retired Hostess Occasional Quotes stamp set.  I hand drew the line around, but I think if I did it again, I would use a ruler.  That's the perfectionist coming out in me.  :)

Twitterpated Love

Every once in a while, I find that I make a card I absolutely love.  This is one of them!  I used the Full Heart Punch and Red Glimmer paper, along with the Small Heart Punch for the largest heart in the middle.  I used the new embosslits die, Fashionable Hearts, and the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (both items in the new Occasions Mini Catalog!) for the rest of the hearts.  The stamp is from the P.S. I Love You stamp set.  Also in the Occasions Mini is the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, which I used to border the paper.  If you host a workshop during the Occasions Mini Catalog time period, you will receive a free Dazzling Details Cherry Cobbler from me as a special gift!  Contact me today to schedule your workshop.

Monkey Business Birthday

This very special birthday card was for Owen who turned one year old.  I used the monkey from the Fox and Friends stamp set and the coordinating colors of card stock with the Designer Series Paper Just Add Cake.  I used the 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" square punches and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch for the presents, along with some jewels.  Colors are Peach Parfait, Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade and Wild Wasabi.  Happy birthday, Owen!
*Thanks to Mom2MattAverieKate from Splitcoaststampers for inspiring this card.

Embossed Circles Birthday in Blue

I took the idea from the pink circles card for girls and recreated the cards in blues for a more masculine birthday card.  I also used the Houndstooth embossing folder rather than polka dots, to add to the masculine feel of this card.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are the perfect gift for the person in your life who loves Stampin' Up!  Last month, I was asked to make gift certificates for two of my customers.  I was so honored to make these because I adore both of these girls (hi, Lauren and Ally!).  The first certificate was for a birthday, so I made this neat holder for it.  I used the Got Treats stamp and some of the Mica Flakes that were in the Holiday Mini catalog.  (I just realized those were discontinued; wish I had stocked up!)

I've blocked out the personal information, but you can see what a gift certificate would look like.  Contact me if you would like to order one for a special stamper!

*Gift certificates issued by me are redeemable only through me,
not through the Stampin' Up! website.

Pink Embossed Birthday Circles

Ah, it's winter and the lighting is terrible for pictures.  I keep saying I need to make a light box, but I don't have storage space, so when I don't have daylight to take pictures, some are going to end up dark, like this one.  I loved this card when I found a sample of it on pinterest.  And with various size circle punches, it was easy to recreate.  After punching and placing the circles, I ran the card front through the Big Shot with the polka dot embossing folder.  Then I added the Melon Mambo ribbon and Happy Birthday sentiment with a dimensional.  Watch tomorrow for the blue version I created!

3x3 Thank You's Using Mixed Bunch

The new Occasions Mini Catalog is now available for ordering!  Check it out here.

Here is another sample of what you can make with the Mixed Bunch stamp set.  These simple 3x3 cards were my thank you notes for various people for Christmas gifts.  I added some dazzling diamonds to make the front sparkle.
I even custom made some simple envelopes in which to put the card.  The Simply Scored Board helped with those!

Angry Birds

Ok, I'll admit it.  I've been hit by the Angry Bird addiction.  I'm fighting for turns on the ipad with my husband and daughter.  And they are more into it than me!  When I found a sample of this card on pinterest, I had to recreate it.  Essential punches in his creation were the Word Window Punch, Circle Punch, Owl Punch, and Snowflake Punch.  The clouds were masked using a Scallop Circle Punch and the grass was created using the Scallop Border Punch.  Have fun playing!

Hangin' with my gnomies

You either love them, or you hate them.  My husband says since we garden, we have to have a fondness for gnomes.  Either way, I think the new Gnome Sweet Gnome set is adorable, and after watching Gnomeo and Juliet with my daughter, I'm even more convinced that they are cute.  I'm not sure I want them hanging around in my flower beds, but I will create cards with them!

I used both the Gnome Sweet Gnome set and the Gnomenclature (clever, huh?) stamp sets for this card.  The patterned paper is another sneak peak at the new Designer Series Paper Twitterpated available soon in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Oh--and the frames!  I predict one of the hottest items in the new catalog will be the Framelits Labels Collection.  They are super easy to use with the Big Shot and can be layered, as I did on this card, to create a dimensional look.  One more neat trick used on this card--see that stamped frame around the "hangin' with my gnomies" sentiment?  The new stamp set P.S. I Love You has this great label stamp that coordinates perfectly with the Modern Label Punch.  The rest of the stamp set is great as well, but that stamp will be getting lots of use!

Colors:  Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Striped Embossing Folder
Skinny embossed lines on Riding Hood Red piece added with Simply Scored Board
Coloring of gnome completed with Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens, and Marvelous Markers
Framelits Labels Collection
Modern Label Punch

New Year, New Mini Catalog

Happy New Year!  I think it's fitting that the first post of this new year is a sneak peak at a card using new products from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Products won't be available for customers from this catalog until January 4th (just a few more days to wait!), but as a demonstrator, I get the perk of ordering the products early.  There are some wonderful new stamps and other things, and I think you are going to LOVE the new products as much as I do.  I've put together a few sneak peeks to lead up to the kick-off of the new catalog.  Also, some of the cards feature Sale-a-bration items, which won't be available until January 24th.  Sale-a-bration is a great time to host a workshop or buy products; for every $50 you spend, you get to select a free product.

This card features one of the new stamp sets, Mixed Bunch, and coordinating punches, Blossom.  The ribbon, Designer Series Paper and the sentiment "Thanks" are stamped from Sale-a-bration products.  Of course, I couldn't stop with just one card playing with this set, so I made several other samples.  Notice the extra large pearls on some of them?  Which card is your favorite?
