Four Seasons Summer

I decided to participate in a sketch challenge for the first time.  Here is the link to the Friday Mashup and the sketch this card is based on.  The Mashup gives three challenges, one-follow the sketch, two-make a project with a Lazy Summer Day theme, or three-mash it together to create a summer card following the sketch.

On this card, I first stamped the summer bird stamp from the Hostess Four Seasons stamp set with Versamark ink.  I then embossed the image with Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango embossing powders by carefully sprinkling different sections.  I punched out the entire image with the large scallop punch, then punched just the bird with a circle punch.  I also layered it onto a piece of Tangerine Tango that was also scallop punched.

I layered a polka dot embossed piece of Wild Wasabi with dotted Melon Mambo ribbon (retired) onto the Melon Mambo card base.  The sentiment was stamped from the stamp set Friendly Phrases, punched with the Decorative Label punch, and sponged with Tangerine Tango ink.  Then I used the 2 1/2 inch circle punch to create the window for the summer bird. When the recipient opens the card, the summer bird is still on the inside of the card.

Stamps:  Four Seasons, Friendly Phrases
Paper:  Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Ink:  Versamark, Tangerine Tango
Other:  Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi embossing powders; heat tool; 3/4 inch, 1 inch and 2 1/2 inch circle punches; Decorative Label Punch; 2 3/8 inch scallop punch, sponge dauber, dotted Melon Mambo ribbon (retired)
