Last Chance for 2010-2012 In Colors

More retirees featured on today's card!  Not only is the lace ribbon border punch retiring, but this is your last chance to get the 2010-2012 In Colors.  Although, Stampin' Up! did make the following announcement...

"We announced in 2010 during the last color renovation that we plan to refresh the Stampin' Up! color collections every three to five years. With that in mind, you may want to hold onto your 2010-2012 In Colors supplies in case we add them to a color collection in the future."

Remember, you can order these products while supplies last through May 31st.  The last time I checked, the lace ribbon border punch was still available for 25% off--only $14.96, plus tax and shipping.  Start your order and add item number 122362 to your cart, or simply click here.

Thanks to Mainly Flowers for inspiring this card!

Pendant Park is retiring

Hello to my Alpha Gam sisters!  Every time I see a squirrel I think of my sisters, and so it makes me sad that the Pendant Park stamp set, with two lovely squirrels on a park bench, is retiring!  Be sure to order yours before May 31st and send your AGD sisters some squirrely love! (Open to other squirrel and park lovers too, of course.)

American Flag Stripes Embossed

Happy Memorial weekend!  This past week, I had the opportunity to meet with a wonderful group of women and tell them about Operation Write Home.  We created many cards to send overseas to the troops for them to use to send back home to loved ones.  Check out more about the program here.  As a thank you to these women, I created this card using the Stripes Embossing Folder.  I inked up my brayer with Cherry Cobbler ink, inserted the Whisper White cardstock into the folder and ran it through the Big Shot.  The star was a bit trickier, since I don't have the retired star punch or the retiring star die for the Big Shot.  I broke out my Cricut and found a cartridge with a star on it.  The Silver Glimmer paper made a great star, but I had to use an exact-o knife to completely cut it out.  I added some retired Cherry Cobbler dotted ribbon and adhered the card together.

Thanks for SU! demonstrator Joanna at a CASE of art for the inspiration for this card!

Posy Punch

I adore this hostess stamp set, Posy Punch.  It coordinates so well with the Fancy Flower Punch and 3/4" circle punch, making it so easy to create beautiful cards.  And guess what?  Time is running out to get yours!  But it's simple; put together a $150 order (easy to do with all the retiring products you want to get!), and choose the Posy Punch set with your hostess dollars.  That's right, you don't even need to have a workshop!  Get started now, by clicking here!

Summer Smooches Postage Thanks

This is the 3rd card we will be making and sending to troops overseas for Operation Write Home.  I love the bright colors of the Summer Smooches paper and the coordination of Stampin' Up!'s products.  I used the stamp set Pretty Postage with the 1 inch square punch and layered it on a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock punched with the Postage Punch.

Thanks to Heidi Boos for the inspiration for this card!

Happy Birthday cards for Operation Write Home

This is the second of 3 cards we will be making for Operation Write Home.  This card uses the stamp set from this year's Sale-a-bration event, Elementary Elegance.  I also used some retired DSP from this past year's holiday mini catalog, Spice Cake.

Thanks to SU! demonstrator Julie Davison for the inspiration for this card.

Thanks so much

This is the first of 3 cards we are going to make at a Stamp Camp for Operation Write Home.  The cards made will be sent overseas to troop so they can use them to send a greeting card home to loved ones.  Check out their website for more information and contact me if you would like to participate!

Betsy's Blossom Sneak Peek

I love being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, especially at this time of year!  We get to pre-order select new products before the new catalog is released!  This stamp set is called Betsy's Blossoms, which has this cute little bird and leaf branch.  The pretty designer series paper is called Floral District.  Notice the new ribbon too?  It's some of the new stitched grosgrain ribbon found in the new catalog.  The sentiment comes from the stamp set Loving Thoughts.

If you are excited to see the newest catalog, be sure to come to my house for Stamp Camp on June 1st to use some new products and receive the new catalog!

Birthday T Rex

I used several punches to create this dinosaur for a birthday card, including the oval punch, the owl punch, and the Boho Blossoms punch.

I found inspiration for this card from SU! demonstrator Ruth Norton.  Thank you, Ruth!

Butterflies and Aqua Painters

I haven't played much with the Aqua Painters, but they are so much fun!  I used a drop of ink from a re-inker onto the paper and spread it out using the water from the aqua painter.  Want to try them too?  Click on the picture to shop now!

Belated Easter Chick

Don't you just love the chick peeking out of the Easter egg?  I used the bird builder, extra large oval, 2 1/2" circle, owl, scallop edge, word window and modern label punches for this creation.  The background was embossed with Perfect Polka Dots or Finial Press embossing folders. The Happy Easter sentiment is from the Everybunny stamp set.  Add a little bow with 1/8" Old Olive taffeta ribbon and my card was complete.

This card was inspired by several others, including Diane Squires and Valitasfreshfolds.

Our Journey on the Open Sea

I love the nautical feel of these cards.  The stamp sets used are Open Sea and the retired set, In A Word.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!  I love the bright colors of the new Summer Smooches Designer Series paper.  It was so easy to coordinate with the paper using the Bright Blossoms stamp set.  If you missed the sneak peak opportunity to purchase these products, both of these will be available again June 1st in the new catalog.  You won't want to miss this new catalog; I've seen it and it is great.  Let me know if you want a copy and I will be sure to get you one!

Join the Stampin' Up! team for just $99!

How I love the perks of being a SU! demonstrator!  Today, I got a sneak peek at the 2012-2013 catalog.  I have to say, I was a little bit concerned with all the retiring items, including some of my favorites, but there was no need for worry.  The new catalog is full of great new stamps and accessories, and my wish list is long.  If you want to join the ranks of the Stampin' Up! demonstrators who get sneak peeks and early orders, I would love to have you on my team.  SU! has made it even easier to join; now the start up cost is just $99--and now what you get is completely customizable.

Each kit contains a business supplies pack (valued at $65)-things that every demonstrator needs to start her business. After that, the choice is yours to put together a kit with any of our high-quality products. You can choose $125 worth of any traditional or digital supplies to create a kit valued at over $190 that still ships for free!

Remember, you can be a "hobby demonstrator" and simply use the 20% discount on SU! products you love, or you can conduct workshops and take orders for added benefits.  It's all up to you!  Contact me with any questions about joining; again, I'd love to grow my already fantastic team of demonstrators!

Ship in a Bottle

Ah, Pinterest.  Such a source of inspiration!  I saw a similar card to this one and knew I wanted to CASE (Copy And Share Everything).  I followed links back to Mariestamps and found that she actually provides the template for the bottles!  The next step was to borrow the stamp set, The Open Sea, from my downline.  Finally, it was creation time and I LOVE the results.
