Whootin' Hi

This card was hard for me to make.  It's for a very special little boy here in my town who has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, which is a form of bone cancer.  His elementary school is asking that everyone send him cards--full of prayers, well wishes, friendship, encouragement, or a funny card to make him laugh!  Here is the address if you would like to send him one too!
COLTON DEAN
c/o UNION ELEMENTARY
20 HEAVNER GROVE RD.
BUCKHANNON, WV 26201

I wanted the card to be special, and decided a spinner card would be something he might like.  Not sure if it conveys how special I wanted it to be, but I hope he likes it!  The owl is from SU's Punch Bunch, but the paper is from Adornit.

I am lucky to serve as an advisor to a wonderful group of Alpha Gamma Delta women of Alpha Omicron Chapter at WV Wesleyan College.  This card is a thank-you for their gift from Advisor Appreciation month!  I used the new DSP Paisley Petals that is available now as a sneak peak to the new Idea Book & Catalog coming out in July, and the Engraved Greetings Thank You stamp that I got FREE through our past Sale-a-bration.  The cherry cobbler cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the Elegant Wallpaper embossing folder.  Thank you girls, for being so thoughtful!

Create a Cupcake

This is one of the cards we made at Stamp Camp last month.  The cupcakes were stamped with the Create a Cupcake stamp set and punched with the coordinating Build a Cupcake punch.  The cherries were punched using the Red Glimmer paper.  The designer series paper is from the Sunny Garden pack--one of my favorites.

Four Frames Swirls

One more sample using the new DSP Paisley Petals and Four Frames Stamp Set, available as sneak peeks!  So yesterday I said the bird was my favorite, but this one is also in the running.  I love the swirls.  I used Versamark ink and the vine stamp from the Elements of Style set for the background on the card.

Four Frames Bird

I added some satin ribbon to this sample using the new DSP Paisley Petals and the stamp set Four Frames.  Get yours here with a $20 purchase!  The paper is double sided, so you get two designs on each paper!  I also have been using the stamp set Fabulous Phrases to stamp the words inside the frames.  I think this might be my favorite so far....

Four Frames Polka Dots

Here is a second sample using the Paisley Petals DSP and Four Frames stamp set.  I used the Big Shot and Polka Dot embossing folder to coordinate with the polka dots on the frame.  Remember, this is a sneak peak at the paper and stamp set; you can purchase them through April with a $20 purchase, or a $350 workshop.  Contact me to schedule your workshop now!

Four Frames-Roses

This card is made with the new Designer Series Paper, Paisley Petals, and a stamp set called Four Frames.  Both are sneak peeks, since they will be coming out in the new Idea Book & Catalog in July.  However, you can get them NOW with a $20 purchase, or FREE if you host a $350 workshop.  This offer is only good through the end of April; then they won't be available again until July.  Visit my online store to shop now!  Notice how the roses on the frame coordinate with the flowers stamped in the background from the Elements of Style stamp set.  Look for more samples with this paper and stamp set in the next few days.

Wedding Card

For this wedding card, I used Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock, along with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  The bride and groom stamp is made by Anita's and the ribbon is from Ribbon Boutique.  I made this for a very special friend who got married this weekend!

Sunny Garden Thank You

This fun card was made using Certainly Celery and Daffodil Delight cardstock, along with the Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper.  The colors are bright, cheerful and summer-like!  The stamped Thanks So Much is from a retired set, Riveting, but it fits so perfectly into the scallop punch, I just had to use it.  The ribbon is Whisper White Satin.

Stylish Blogger Award

I received this award from my wonderful, supportive and inspirational upline, Beth Wilson.  Her blog can be found here.  I am so excited to have joined a team with such a terrific leader!

With this award I'm supposed to:
1) Thank the person who gave this award to me and link it back to their blog.  (Thank you, Beth!)
2) Share 8 things about myself
3) Pass this award to 8 other individuals that I have recently discovered
4) Leave a comment on their blogs so that they can pass along the recognition!

Eight things about ME:
1.)  I am a child of God!
2.)  I am blessed with the best husband and daughter in the world!
3.)  Since I haven't figured out (yet) how to make stamping my full time job, I teach pre-k to support my creative habits.  :)
4.)  I discovered a love of running a few years ago and have since completed 2 half marathons.  An unexpected surgery set me back and I'm trying to get back to that distance.  It's a slow process.
5.)  I love peanut butter and can eat it by the spoonful.  Hence the need to run.
6.)  I grew up spending summers at the Jersey shore and dream about someday having a beach home there.
7.)  I've enjoyed crafting since I was a child--scrapbooking, cross stitching, wood painting, and of course, stamping.
8.)  I treat my birthday like a huge holiday and try to stretch the celebration out over a whole week.

Now I get to pass this award on to 8 other bloggers I have recently discovered.  I chose some fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators who have given me some ideas! Please check out their blogs because I enjoy visiting them and I am sure you will too.
