Are you ready for Christmas cards yet? I have been finding so many beautiful and inspirational Christmas cards that I couldn't wait any longer to get started. This cardinal was created using the Bird Builder Punch. There is a secret to getting his color just right....leave a comment if you want to learn it! The red glimmer paper adds just the right amount of sparkle. The cardinal is WV's state bird, and I would love to use this one for my personal Christmas cards this year, but I'm not sure I'm up to punching all of those birds!
Please, I would like to know th secret to how you made the bird. I know you used the build a bird punch but how did you get it to look so much like a cardinal? color and all... thanks, fran macdonald
ReplyDeleteIt's rich razzleberry sponged onto the edges of real red! The crest is the tip of a wing and I used the small heart punch in both basic black (with the tip cut off) and another heart in daffodil delight layered behind it. I added the white eye with the uniball pen. Let me know if I can help in any other way, and have fun creating!
